Licensure
National
Certification is optional for bakers. It is rarely required for
employment or advancement. Certification is a way for bakers to
achieve recognition for their skills. To become a Certified
Journey Baker (CJB) applicants must: Have four years of
experience, and pass a written exam.
To become a Certified Master Baker (CMB), applicants must: Have
eight years of experience, pass a written exam, and pass a
practical baking test.
