Institute For Tourism Studies (IFT), a rapidly growing public higher
education institution in Macao devoted entirely to education and training
for the tourism and hospitality industry, invites applications for the
following teaching posts:
Full-time Professor / Associate Professor / Assistant Professor /
Lecturer
The candidate is expected to actively lead faculty members in research and
industry collaboration, and teach/develop one or more of the following
subject areas:
- Tourism (such as tourism destinations, tourism planning and development,
tourism product management, socio-cultural issues in tourism, event
management, tourism economics, special interest tourism and development &
management of attractions);
- Hospitality (such as F&B management, lodging management, hotel
operations, club management and facilities & properties management)
- Heritage Management (heritage studies, interpretation, cultural resource
management, cultural and heritage tourism, heritage conservation planning
and policy, management of heritage institutions)
- Conventions, Meetings, Exhibitions and Events Management (sport tourism,
events management, festivals and special events, events planning and
operations, events sponsorship and financing, meeting and conventions
management, legal issues and risk management of organizing events,
international events management)
For the post of professor and associate professor, a Ph.D. degree in the
relevant area, solid teaching experience at the tertiary level and a
reputable track record of research are expected. For the post of assistant
professor, a Ph.D. degree in a relevant area and substantial teaching
experience at the tertiary level are expected.
