Qualifications and Experience: Minimum requirements
include a bachelors degree in hospitality management, business
administration, or related field and six years of progressively
responsible experience in food service management. The preferred candidate
will have a demonstrated record of management experience in board plan and
cash operations, supervision and personnel management, food production and
menu management, finance and budgeting, and facility management and
planning. Evidence of the ability to work with diverse campus and
community constituent groups, commitment to providing quality customer
service, strong analytical and decision-making abilities, and excellent
interpersonal and communication skills are required for this position.
Position Description: The Director of Dining Services is responsible for
the administration and management of a comprehensive dining program with
two board plan dining rooms, student union food court, catering program,
and campus vending. The responsibilities of the director include providing
leadership and direction for the dining services program, fiscal
management of a $10 million budget, human resource management, prime
vending inventory management, culinary training, marketing and meal plan
sales, facility management and capital projects, and maintaining quality
control standards for the food service program. The director is
responsible for the on-going development of innovative food concepts to
provide a quality dining experience for students, faculty, staff, and the
university community.
Salary and Benefits: Commensurate with qualifications and experience.
