The University of South Florida Sarasota/Manatee campus
invites applications for a 9-month, tenure earning, Assistant/Associate
Professor, School of Hotel and Restaurant Management to begin Spring 2005.
Position Number 12612. Salary: Negotiable.
Minimum Qualifications: The successful candidate must have an earned
doctorate from a Hospitality Management Program and some postgraduate
business administration classes from an accredited university; evidence of
teaching excellence; an outstanding record of scholarship.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience in accounting, finance and have some
international experience.
The duties for the position: The position will be a junior faculty member
to work with the director and other faculty in continuing growth and
developing the school of Hotel & Restaurant Management. The successful
applicant will be teaching hotel and restaurant management courses, in
accounting and finance as well as advising students. Scholarship and
service to the university and community are also requirements of the
position. The preferred courses to be taught are HFT-3424 Cost Control in
Hospitality Operations, HFT- 4471 Management Accounting and Finance for
the Hospitality Industries and other classes as needed.
