The Department of Student Auxiliary Services - Dining Services has an opening for a Dining Service Area Manager. The Area Manager is responsible for assisting in the administration/management of multiple dining operations including the kitchen and dining room facilities and reports to the Associate Director of Dining Services. The manager is responsible for developing "esprit de corps" - a spirit of service with students and the university community for ensuring appropriate service levels. A Bachelor's degree in Hotel, Restaurant and Institutional or Business Management or related field and demonstrated significant successful experience in direct operations management. Individual must have strong customer relation personnel supervision, organizational and excellent oral and written communication skills, spreadsheet applications, MS Office Suite and other computer applications helpful but not required. Individual must have an ability to do frequent lifting and standing and must also successfully complete a pre-employment physical and credit background check. Proposed salary range: $38,000 - $44,000 plus full University benefits including health and life insurance, sick and vacation time, holidays, an excellent retirement plan and tuition waivers.
