Fall, 2003. Qualifications: (1) Doctorate (preferred) or Masters (firm
commitment to complete doctorate) in Tourism/Hospitality Management or
related area. (2) convention and meetings industry experience required,
(3) experience working with diverse groups. Preference: demonstrated
effectiveness in teaching/training and a willingness to partner with
internal and external resource agencies. Responsibilities: Teach courses
in Tourism and Hospitality Management, including Conference and Convention
Planning, Special Events Planning, Dining Room Management, Beverage
Management, and Tourism Planning and Development. Advise
Tourism/Hospitality Management students. Scholarly publications and
professional presentations are expected. Submit internal and external
grants. University service expected. Send application letter, vita,
transcripts, and statement of teaching philosophy. Include three current
letters of recommendation and three additional references. Review begins
February 3, 2003
