Two Tenure-Track Faculty Positions
USCB is South Carolina's most recent baccalaureate
degree-granting university, serving the diverse student population of
South Carolina's Lowcountry (Beaufort and Hilton Head Island). The USCB
Hospitality Management (HM) undergraduate program provides a comprehensive
curriculum that focuses on preparing students for managerial positions in
the hospitality industry. Hilton Head Island is a 42-square mile barrier
island situated in the southern part of South Carolina and is one of the
top tourist destinations in the United States. Beaufort is a historic
bayside community featuring cultural and heritage tourism. These
communities offer world-class golf and tennis, spectacular beaches, water
sports, nature-based adventures, cultural and art events, dining,
nightlife, entertainment, and family activities.
Position Available: Assistant/Associate Professor, tenure-track faculty
position beginning August, 2005.
Duties: These are tenure-track, 9-month appointments: one, with
responsibility for teaching in the area of Food and Beverage
Management/Operations and the other, in Hospitality Management (Hotel
Management/Operations or Club Management).
Qualifications: Applicants must have an earned doctorate in Hospitality
Management or a related field. Industry and teaching experience preferred.
