The Center for Tourism
Research (CTR) at Black
Hills State University
seeks applications for
an Assistant Director -
Research. The primary
duties will include
providing research
design and oversight of
research activities to
clients who wish to
evaluate their
capabilities, market
their goods and or
services more
effectively, and
recommend promotional
and marketing techniques
for the purpose of
promoting tourism,
enhancing visitation,
and stimulating economic
growth in the State and
region.
Educational
Requirements: A Master's
Degree in marketing,
tourism or hospitality
is required. A Ph.D. in
one of the same areas is
preferred. The
successful applicant
must possess experience
in applied and academic
research methodology and
interpretation, from an
academic perspective,
and may be required to
teach classes.
Applicants must also
have been published in a
peer-reviewed journal,
plus demonstrated
evidence of having won
competitive grants.
