Teaching and scholarly activities in the field of
tourism planning and commercial recreation development.
Concord University is located in a rural area of the
Allegheny Mountains near outstanding whitewater and
mountain sports venues. The planning, development,
management and marketing of nature-based tourism and
heritage tourism businesses, organizations and programs
is a major focus of the position. Responsibility:
Teaching and advising at the undergraduate level,
supervision of interns, program and curriculum
development, scholarly activity, professional service to
the region and state. Qualifications: Master's degree is
a minimum requirement-Doctorate required for tenure to
be awarded. Preference will be given to applicants
demonstrating a history of successful teaching at the
baccalaureate level and professional experience in
tourism planning or promotion. Experience in any of the
following areas is desirable: expertise in nature
tourism and/or heritage tourism, a history of
professional and public service, research and scholarly
activity, and grant writing. Closing Date: Open until
