BBAG Osterreichische Brau-Beteiligungs-AG (BBAG) might be a mouthful, but it sells beers that can help wash the name down. BBAG's primary business is beermaking, which it does through its publicly traded subsidiary, Brau-Union. Brau-Union, which controls 60% of the Austrian market, brews multinational brands, including Kaiser, Goesser, and Zipfer; it also brews regional beers for the Czech Republic , Hungary , Poland , and Romania . Other BBAG subsidiaries produce bottled mineral water (Gasteiner, Gussinger), fruit juices (Pago), and lemonade (Gussinger). The company also runs a real estate development business. An ownership group led by chairman Karl Büche controls the company through parent Getraenke-Holding.
