 Hotel Properties Limited (HPL) has diversified itself across Asia , Australia , and Europe with investments in hotels, condominiums, restaurants, food distribution, and retail operations. Its 18 hotels in nine countries offer a combined 4,000 rooms and include Singapore 's Hilton Hotel and Four Seasons Resort Bali . Other holdings include 12 Hard Rock Cafe franchises in Asia , 23 Häagen-Dazs outlets in Singapore and Malaysia , and 18 Donna Karan/DKNY boutiques in Taiwan and Hong Kong . Managing director Ong Beng Seng and his family own more than 40% of HPL; First Capital Corporation owns nearly 20% of the company
