The company is one of France 's top restaurant groups with more than 20 brasseries (simple eateries), including some famous nightspots such as Balzar, La Coupole, and Le Vaudeville in Paris . In addition, Flo owns the steak house chain Hippopotamus, with some 30 locations, and the Bistro Romain chain. The company also operates a dozen upscale retail food shops (branded as Flo Prestige). The group also offers event catering through Raynier Marchetti. Chairman and former chef Jean-Paul Bucher and his family control almost 55% of the group
