How to get to the Big Leagues? Pizza. Ilitch Holdings was formed by Mike and Marian Ilitch in 1999 to bring their numerous businesses under a single umbrella. Among the holding company's subsidiaries are Litte Caesar Enterprises (the pizza chain the Ilitchs launched with a single restaurant in 1959), the NHL's Detroit Red Wings, and Major League Baseball's Detroit Tigers. Other operations include Olympia Entertainment (management and concessions at Comerica Park , Joe Louis Arena, and Cobo Arena), the Second City - Detroit (comedy theatre, with its Hockeytown Cafe), and Olympia Development (real estate). The Ilitch portfolio also includes Detroit 's historic Fox Theatre building, which houses the firm's offices.
