Breakfast must be a little too early for Phoenix Restaurant Group (PRG). Formerly DenAmerica, the company is one of the country's largest franchisee of Denny's restaurants, with 42 units (largely in Texas and Florida). The company has been selling those eateries (which account for about 47% of sales), however, to focus on its chain of Black-eyed Pea home-style restaurants, which feature such items as chicken-fried steak, meat loaf, and pot roast for lunch and dinner. It owns and operates 48 Black-eyed Pea units, mostly in Texas. PRG went into bankruptcy in 2001 and began reorganizing. Former chairman and CEO Jack Lloyd owns about 25% of the company
