The beers of Foster's Group (formerly Foster's Brewing Group) go over Down Under, but wine also shines. The company distributes its potables in about 150 countries, but more than 70% of its sales are in the Australia/Pacific region. Its Carlton and United Breweries unit is Australia's #1 brewer with beers such as Foster's Lager and Victoria Bitter. Foster's purchase of Beringer Wine Estates illustrates its commitment to the wine segment, which, like beer, now accounts for more than 35% of sales. Mildara Blass wine brands are Australia's top premium wines. Fosters also operates a domestic spirits group, and has interests in pubs and liquor stores, and real estate development. Foster's owns 50% of Foster's USA.
