The
Morale, Welfare and
Recreation (MWR) Division of the
United States
Navy provides a
variety
of recreational/leisure programs and services to the worldwide Navy
community. A community that
includes sailors, their families,
military reservists, retirees and authorized civilians. We operate in
24 states and 13 countries overseas employing MWR professionals around
the world.
The Navy MWR
Intern Program is primarily looking for students in their senior year or
graduate students majoring in Parks and Recreation, Food and Beverage
Management, Exercise Science, Sport Management, Child Development or other
related fields. Interested students must:
- have
programming experience (paid or volunteer),
- be
earning credit for an internship,
- have
Basic First Aid and CPR certification,
- be mature
and independent
- have
medical insurance, and
- be an
American citizen.
In addition the following certifications/memberships are
desirable, depending on program areas:
